It is said that colours set the mood and tone of an area by affecting our feelings and how we understand the symbolic meaning being shown. It is a way to show how you feel and express yourself, and it is known to be biologically attractive. A lot of research has been done on the link between colours and the human body. Colour is thought to be the combination of energy and matter. Light is energy. Each colour has its own range, frequency, and amount of energy.
Logo Design
When starting out, it’s wise to spend as little as possible on a professional-looking logo. Startups often lack the time and funds for elaborate branding, making a simple yet professional design the way to go.
Calligraphy
Most fonts are protected by copyright, and licencing deals say how they can be used. When you buy or download a font, you are basically getting permission to use it as long as you follow the rules set by the font maker or foundry.

It’s important to note, for these types of fonts, if you need to use a font in multiple formats, such as for desktop and for your website, you will need to purchase both licenses in order to comply with the license agreements.
Logo Design
Canva’s logo templates are customizable and can be used by anyone. This means that your rights to the logo are non-exclusive and you can’t register it as a trademark.
Calligraphy
Building towards his logo, Mike shared stories and his mental health journey with me through the years of corporate. It was like he re-invented himself and found purpose in life again. He requested a particular colour (would you believe it is close to the 2023 Pantone Colour of the year) and I drew this. Calligraphy had to be part of it.

Different colours mean different things, and it’s good to have an idea of what colour schemes are often used in your industry. But take note as a specific colour can mean more to someone or it can relate to religion or culture.
Logo Design
Jennifer was not sure how she wanted to include her Bourikas Home Brand but at the same time, she is the face of the brand. Incorporating her initials which she gave precedence over was no easy task. I took to my calligraphy experience and wrote out her name in many ways. Finally, we settled on what was close to her own signature.
