How Brand Activations Generate Revenue?

featured

I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of leading brands in the industry as they create conversational pieces, starters and bring people together.

While many in-person or virtual events boast great planning and production, let’s face it – most are forgettable. How many truly unforgettable ones can you recall? Likely just a handful. Despite renowned speakers, top-notch setups, stellar programming, gourmet food, or fancy software, most events end up unremarkable.

But here’s the exciting part: the solution doesn’t lie in dropping another $50k on fancier lighting and bigger speakers. It’s about injecting unexpected and unusual elements that captivate and leave a lasting impression. It’s time to break the forgettable event cycle and make yours truly unforgettable with a touch of excitement and uniqueness.

Now before I tell you how I help you make money, let’s understand what Brand Activations or Live Events are:

What are Brand Activations

Brand activation through live entertainment experiences can effectively build brand awareness and engage with consumers. By creating memorable and immersive experiences, brands can not only promote their products or services but also create a strong emotional connection with their audience.

Brands can create themed events or experiences aligned with their brand values and messaging. For example, a car brand could host a high-speed driving experience, or a food brand could host a culinary-themed event, and most recently, Beauty & Wellness brands are offering calligraphy and bottle painting of their products.

Brands can activate through pop-up shops and experiences that allow consumers to engage with the brand in a physical space.

Regardless of the type of live entertainment experience, the key to success is creating a memorable, unique experience that aligns with the brand’s values and messaging. This will help build brand awareness and create a lasting emotional connection with consumers.

What is Live – Calligraphy, Engraving or Bottle Painting

It’s one thing to gift an eventgoer a personalised item of swag—it’s a whole different ballpark when the eventgoer can see said personalization in action. Live calligraphy or engraving usually involves customizing a brand’s actual product, product packaging, or a gifted item with a purchase for a traditional takeaway. At live events that aren’t consumer-facing, it might involve personalizing an item of swag—think: with a guest’s name or custom illustration.

Remember that this can work with a wide range of budgets.
Don’t perceive a high price tag that could prevent your event from incorporating live calligraphy and engraving. I believe that there’s a way to fit it within everyone’s budget, and I have tons of ideas of lower-cost items that you can utilize, as well as higher-end items.

It’s also not as time-consuming as you might think.
A custom calligraphed/lettered/engraved item usually takes me one to five minutes, depending on the size and complexity. I have written over 100 red envelopes for Diptyque in two hours and engraved over 50 perfume bottles for Hudson Bay in four hours. The most intense event I’ve ever done was completing 250 cards in three and a half hours!

Why do you need live calligraphy, engraving, or bottle painting for your next event?

Designing experiences that…

  • Forge a bond among your group at the outset, surpassing the typical connection

  • Evoke emotions leading to immediate and unexpected sales

  • Nurture a profound sense of belonging for participants

  • Foster a community where people experience profound connection and purpose.

For you, this translates to…

  • Making something that doesn’t exist but is needed will set you apart and make sure that your work is unique.

  • Giving your customers a reason to enthusiastically spread the word will increase word-of-mouth recommendations and make your next launch easier.

  • Getting complete memorability.

  • Give your participants the gift of an experience that leaves them with a lasting memory full of deep meaning and change.

So how does glass engraving work?

  • First the preferred customization is sketched onto the surface until it is perfect.

  • Next I freehand engrave the design using a portable hand held drill. This is where the magic happens.

  • Then a Gold or Silver fill is added if desired. (Please note that not every surface is able to be filled due to various surface textures and and other factors)

  • Finally any remaining dust or paint is buffed away and the item is ready to be admired for years to come!
