Wild Wild West feeling here.
Lately, we have seen a shift in many Instagram profiles (content creator or business accounts) the disappearance of the Instagram music button feature. One minute it is there and next, it’s no longer. But for now, the music button is back in Instagram Reels and Stories but wait there is a catch to this.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you open your Instagram, ready to add some music, your search for your artist and to your surprise, you have this unknown selection of music. This music is now known as free copyright music. In some countries, Instagram’s rules state that if you have a business account, you are unable to add music to your Instagram story due to copyright issues. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have not found any official information on this. I can only say it from experience, but it seems to me that Instagram took the next step and made a free music library available for business accounts. They took the “Sound Collection from Facebook Creator Studio”, but again, there’s no info about it anywhere.
Instagram’s Reels would allow you to pick a track to make a reel with, from its rather extensive collection of music. In fact, that catalogue resembles closely that of Spotify and Tik Tok of course. Now with the new change, I have been creating my videos in Tik Tok, saving them and reposting them as a Reel on Instagram. (Shhh don’t tell Instagram).
I also want to point out, you can choose to remove the Tik Tok watermark. Before you post it to Tik Tok, view it and while viewing it, SCREEN RECORD IT. Game changer…
Another alternative is to record your video and use an amazing app called Inshot to edit your video. There are many features you can apply to it.
I hope this is just temporary as my scrolling is going to be a little dull and I’m definitely not ready for that!
Let me know how are you making it work for you?
